Been looking on the internet, and im semi going against them.
will be getting 165 50 15
on a 15X7 wheel.
Will this be a safe strech ?
tbh dont wont to be poping tyers/causing accidents

Curious... but did the origins of stretched tyres come from people who were too tight-fisted with there money to buy properly fitting tyres, so sacrificed safety and stability for looking shite??

if you can afford to upgrade to bridgestones i really would mate, £200ish fitted etc - the bridgestones are very good tyres.
it's up to you obviously, but i've not heard very good things about nankangs to be honest

my corsa is much much better with stretched bridgestones than it was with mid range 195/45s.
lolz
admitedly it has become a 'cool' thing to do, but my personal reason for having them is for arch clearance when running wider wheels, especially on my bbs rm's. it also helps with the legalities regarding having the tyre tread inside the arch.
some of the VW boys run obscene amount of stretch - too much and it can begin to over-do things.

no, the point of stretched tyres is so that the tyre walls lean inwards, reducing scrubbing or allowing more room to lower the car. If you keep your tyre pressures checked, then youll be fine

Yeah, was right. there on a yellow lupo. can actually see the inside tyre bead when you look over it, in flesh.

nah.. its what there known for in the past.
Seem to get better reviews now.. ive had them on 2 sets before:including banded steels which were same size as yours, and they were fine.
plus alot of stretchers seem to think they give a better stretch than the bridgestones as they give a more J shaped tyre wall. (hard to explain)
