............the state of not being able to decide; hesitation.
1. not producing a clear decision or a definite result an indecisive battle.
2. unable to make firm decisions indecisive person.
AKA - me
What it comes down to is whether to buy outright an M3, or join the waiting list to get a brand new Focus RS.
Both are amazing cars, both have their own pro's & con's.
Im almost ready to make my move, negotiated a sale for my current car.
What should I do?
RS -
Will be brand new car
Motoring press love it.
Looks great....imo.
I wont get one until 59 plate at the earliest.
I'll need to finance around £360 a month & keep it 3yrs.
M3 -
6yr old one for the money.
Possibly looking a bit dated, though still amazing.
I can get one whenever I want.
Can buy it outright.
One ive seen local - http://brdwd.co.uk/cgi-bin/details.pl?v_vin=SK03HCP
Guide me....

I prefer the M3 but I'd probably end up going for the Focus purely on the basis of it being new with a 3 year warranty so in theory less hassle. Should hold its value fairly well too. Better running costs? Dont know.

In 3yrs time id hope to be looking at 997's or R8's or the like!!
If its here & now its either an M3 or RS. I can wait for the RS no probs, what I planned to do was fix our old mini cooper & use that over the summer until its ready!!
You might ask, why not a new shape M3 for the money involved in an RS.........well, im not totally wanting to get ticked up, however id make an exception for an RS ive decided, nothing else.
If I was getting an RS it would have to be brand new!
The M3's in the running because its always appealed to me & there absolute bargains just now!!

Im thinking this aswell.
Getting a 6yr old ex £45k? car, its just going to need bits done regularly.
Focus will have warranty & i'll only need to pay for fuel, servicing & tyres.

That guy from drivers republic, said just now you can get a M3 CSL for the price of a focus, but he would still take the focus! Hes well respected among the motoring journo's!
Another favour for the RS, Jade can get added to the insurance & its only £560. M3 with just me on is closer £800!!

God knows, there both pretty different, 3.2L staight6 RWD n/a V's 2.5 5cyldr Turbo. I think the RS would be more fun every day. M3 more refined, wont feel as quick but will be. How often am I going to get its arse out on the road!!
I just feel if I get the M3, i'll be happy with it until I see some RS on the road & then wish id got one of those!!

Are M3's still holding their prices pretty well? get one for a year, maybe less till the RS comes down or till they do different deals on it.

Can you wait until you have driven the RS? New car smell and that imaculate paint would probably swing it to the RS for me though thinking about it now

Simple Col, are you wanting to go sideways, or nose-wide into a ditch?

Possibly could do that. I recon that one I posted shouldnt loose too much in a year.
Im not sure what the deals on the RS will be, they claim to have orders for more than 2000 now, with only 4000 coming to the UK!?
