The filter element sits right down in the base where its bolted onto the induction hose and it has drain holes in the bottom. I have driven in some horrific conditions and always hose down the car and never had any problems

Looks good mate
Taking your time as noobie to paint correction, and you'll be ok. Get yourself a Kestrel one - just as good as the Megs G220 but cheaper. Then use a fairly low abrasive compound, as Honda paint is uber soft - you'll probably find you can marr the paintwork and add further defects just by rubbing polish etc off too hard!

Yer honda paint especially on the type r is super thin and delicate
I was looking at the kestral ones in cleanyourcar, was thinking of getting the kit that comes with all of the pads and polishes. Can get sonus megs and all sorts. Which one would you recomend? Although they are all out of stock at the moment

Looks good, how much is it lowered by? Because it does make a noticeable difference.
Gruppe M - was that fitted when you got the car or did you purchase it after?

I fitted the gruppe m myself after having the car a couple of months.
Lowered 25mm front and 15mm rear iirc. Would look even nicer a little lower but the front scrapes on stuff as it is
So its a good compromise and the ride is still nice and comfy

I would suggest just getting the basic machine, then hooking yourself up with some Megs pads as they are some of the best out there. Correction on Honda paint can be done with the likes of Dodo Juice Lime Prime quite often, or something a little more abrasive like Megs 80 / 83.
