i want one that isnt 9 million colours. isnt 30cm tall, tells me only the boost of the car up to 2bar and not the atmospheric pressure of venus on a thursday, something thats easy to read and the display has the appropriate stuff on it without odd words like MAXIMUM POWER and stuff along those lines. basically i want something useful and not chav stick on crap. im lost without the apexi display at the moment. it was great. sadly no longer used so sold it a long time ago.

I had one fitted to the Impreza. Nice gauge. I got mine from somewhere overseas on ebay.

they look just the job loaf. seem a good size being 60mm and the numbers on them seem ideal to read. what was it like in the dark? illumination good but not over powering?

I never took a picture at night unfortunately, but it looked very nice indeed. Didn't sort of invade your sight with a stupid bright colourful glow if that's what you mean. Just sort of low lit white for the text and a red needle iirc.

I did however get stung for tax on it when it came over Ended up owing like another £20 on top or somethin.

yeah the stupid glow is what i mean. the one i have now is just annoying. and i can hardly read it due to the illumination.

thats what worried me the added tax thing. looks a great gauge. actually id say its ideal for me but im concerned ordering stuff from the 3rd world.

iirc once the tax was added, it would've been the same price for me to buy it from the UK anyway. It did come very quickly tho, like 3 days. Think mine was from Hong Kong or somethin daft.

Oh, and 60mm rather than the 52mm makes a massive difference IMO. Perfect size.

http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/universal_a.php?subID=133&subName=Apexi%20Gauges%20and%20Accessories

£135 for electric or £115 for manual type. seemsa bit much in a way, but i guess if i add p+p to that ebay one its 95 quid anyway plus perhaps hidden extra's.

something to think.

i do like the defi ones. think the apexi one is more suited to me however. im deffo after a 60mil gauge i think. 52 just seems a touch too small for me at times. maybe its where and how they are mounted in mine thats more of an issue.
