Straight to the point, was intimidated by an unmarked cop car going through a quiet part of town and i broke the speed the limit. They was pushing me to go faster and i rised to it and i did, anyway i got pulled ect etc. I'm not known to the police, i very rarely speed unless on the motorway on the odd occasion.
Now they had no radio, no camera, nothing in there car just an every day to day average car. Me being slightly cocky i said have you got evidence of me doing this excess speed? Yougish copper turned around and said don't be cocky, our evidence is us two as there was two coppers in the car.
Is this correct? Or do they actually have to have video, pictures whatever they have to get you done?
Anyway i took the bollocking and got let off.

Only traffic can do you for speeding, why be cocky though?

As i wasn't 100% sure and they said they would arrest me and seize my car i just said i'll take the bollocking.
What pisses me off is they intimidated me and i never rise to other people and the one time i speed i get caught, they knew what they was doing and they get such a buzz off it. Cocks

Be glad you got let off. similar happened to my dads mate & they tried to do him with dangerous driving, he pled guilty to the lesser charge of speeding & got 3pts & a fine in court!!

They didn't have anything in the car, just a standard radio player that's why i said have you got any evidence.

Yeah i am glad, but it's just the way they come across. Two youngish coppers no older than 30 i would say.

i normally don't i just either let them overtake me or ignore them. The one time i speed up i get caught grrr.
Just reading on forums that even if there is two people in the car the person in the passenger seat can't see the speedo correctly because of the angle. And you do need actually proof of the offender doing over the speed limit. Not sure if this is true but does make sense.

yeah, exact same story from a friend of mine, though he was given points and a fine! whether some have the camera on and some dont and that is what causes the difference i dont know. I was pulled for speeding once, was a lone popo and he just gave me a warning.
