Alrighty.

not the ideal site to ask this, but am sure their are a few CTR owners on here... Martin?! well used to anyway....

Brother just got a CTR at weekend, late 55spec model with the recaro seats, quite nice and wants to know how to make it faster...

ive heard of vtec controllers over the years but not a clue how they work..

got a typhoon filter at the moment and dont know of any other mods done engine wise, Standard as far as we know!

Cheers

Big increase say 300bhp Jackson racing super charger kit or CPL turbo kit.

Otherwise exhuast, filter, manifold and K-pro managment will see about 250bhp. But as well and the 50bhp more it will have a hell of alot more mid range poke. Will feel like a completly different car

Do you get Vtec controllers for the CTR with it being the later i-Vtec??I thought they had to be re-mapped to lower the Vtec.Or have times changed??

You can get vtec controllers for them but their arnt much good on their own. Better off going for some kind of fully mappable ECU like the hondata k-pro where you can set everything up individually to suit your car

Personally handling first then upgrade the shitty standard brakes with good pads like ferodo ds2500's then exhaust, manifold different induction kit and K-pro.

Standard brakes are fine tbh. However I did fit my ds2500's at the weekend and they are very good

Oh I have heard the oposite and unless you have big power and are on the track all the time all you need is goodridge hoses, ds2500's and a good brake fluid.
