ESP on some cars is bloody amazing and on others its a potential death trap lol

The ESP on late VW's is amazing, instead of hindering you it just compensates where required

Had ESP in the Jetta, was shit in the snow but shit hot under normal driving conditions, and that's in a family barge.

Inappropraite times? What like when your wheels are skidding? Probably down to SHITTY budget tyres, bad alignment or even just ham fisted driving.

ESP nearly killed me in my Astra tbh, was going round quite a hard corner on a duel carrigeway at about 80 switched lanes and went over a Cat eye, and it ssent the ESP off (applying the brakes) while half way round the bend, oversteer wasnt the word for it

My works van has traction control and esp.. The traction controls pretty good but the esp is awful on it.. Cuts in all the time and staps the back brakes on when I'm towing round corners. You can turn it off but only under 35mph so you have to crawl round roundabouts and corners..

I am still a bit unsure on all these driving aids. Fair enough it helps people in most situations, but I miss my old Corsa where it was just a steering wheel and the drivers ability keeping you on the road. No PAS, ABS, ESP, TC, nothing.

It makes it more fun to drive.

ESP is an annoying bastard, hitting wet drain covers tends to set mine off, but kinda used to it now.

ESP is gay! it just cuts all power in the focus when the computer starts to feel the car losing traction. really annoying as you have to wait for he revs to go down and then accelerate again.
