anyone got one? had one?

2001 onwards, not the old ugly shape!

what are they like??

i thinking of one of these, but the only 2 things putting me off, are rear wheel drive? and the 2 seats!

There nice for a girl, but i think a better girly convertable is a 206 CC, get a top of the range one with all the extras and that would be a much better car.

Rear wheel drive is no big problem, try driving some RWD cars and you'll soon get used to the feel of it.

2 seats just means you have to be picky who you take with you on journies.

the mr2's look sporty and mean, i really dont like girly loooking cars! even tho my corsa is pink, i havnt made it girly in anyway! i like mean looking cars, somthing nippy and smaller than a astra convertible, well the SRI turbo and the astra Convertible arnt out the window just yet,

Get one, solid reliable, mid-engined RWD light car, it will be a joy to drive. Don't worry about RWD I find it MUCH more natural to drive than a FWD.

I've drove that model MR2. They are nice to drive, bit like a go-kart handling wise. However over rough roads you get a lot of skuttle shake - the steering column shakes a bit. Not very practical either - no boot. After that I drove a mk2 MX-5 and bought one, much better car and hold their value better.
