As above,
Me and my mate were talking this evening and I am thinking about buying a new car at the end of summer and instead of selling my corsa use it as a fast project (stripped out LET hopefully )
My mate wants something light (800/900kgs) and at least 300bhp so a mildly tuned c20let in a stripped corsa should be sufficient I think
How much would a fully stripped corsa LET weigh? was speaking to another mate tonight and he said that LETs are heavy so would probs get the weight down to about 900kgs maybe (maybe more or less )
He's going to start looking around now for prices of engine (c20let) and an F28 box - he asked if any of you guys have any good pointers as where to look for a c20let and f28???
Conversion kits are about £500+ I think from regal
Is there anything I've missed?
Sorry for the essay and thanks in advance for help and advice

We're saving money by having my car as a shell I suppose - how much difference in price are the z20lets in comparison to the c20lets?

F28 box weighs a lot more than a F20 box. Will one of those be good?

What ever price you have in your head for the conversion. Double it. It will never go in with no problems and I'll doubt you'll be paying someone to do it, so even more to go wrong as you wont have the previous experience.

save yourself some money.
equal length shafts, cav hubs machined to suit corsa bearings, then mount kit from chris astley. £100 or so maybe(mounts/spacers)???
F28 weighs about 15kg more than a F20 iirc.
look on migweb for Clets and boxes theres quite a few on there at the moment tbh!

Surely won't need more than £4k / £5k?
This won't be a rushed project so to speak, probably take our time with it ( my mate has had previous experiences with engine conversions) and it will be good for me to learn about them etc because I know fuck all at the moment!
I did suggest maybe putting a tuned redtop in, but he wants something silly quick

Since owning my LET, I have had atleast an extra £1k spent just on repairs. Easily £1k just on repairs.
