Is it worth the price their asking for it considering milage condition etc

Had a look around the ford forums aswell.

Had an email from him about it saying
"There is no rust or welding to do on this car, I have owned it for the past 6 years in which time it has been rained on once, I only used it in the summer and it has full history of everything done to the car eg the first MOT (1993) and fords PDI check list and has been serviced every year even tho one year I never used it,

The car is mint inside and out."

If the underneath is as in good condition as the rest of it then yeah its worth around that. They are classed as classics now so their value can only raise if in good nick

be wary of modded cars mate, that one looks good though.

they are good cars but can be unreliable when messed about with and they are old so expect to do a few things to them.

i have a white one on 65k bog standard. lovely to drive, really nice cars.

there was a thread a few days ago about ersts.

I put mine up for sale at £3000 and have been offered that for it, also got offered a corsa LET as a swap but have now decided to keep hold of it

Mines only had 2 owners and I've known the car for the last 10+ years.

There only going to go up in value

Keep it clean, leave it standard.

Will be worth quite a bit of money in a few years. I expect to see ERST in standard well looked after form to go above £10k (give it a fair few years yet).

Seems like a nice clean car. Late one too and the best colour. Some reasonable modifications and just need to get shot of those horrid little badges under the repeaters and the steering wheel & gear knob if they are original.

You'd need to look at it properly to make sure it is as it seems Marcus.

Need to know how many owners too. If it's not as good as you'd hoped and it's had nine keepers i'd walk away.

If it's had two or three, starts and drives nice, everything works, there's no rust and the paint's good i'd probably take it.

It's a shitload cheaper than mine was.

1) When they are fucked

2) How long is a piece of string?
