Been offered a straight swap for one of these against my S1 RST
Mk1 Ford Capri 1972 1600xl
Yellow
Restored External/Internal
Original 72k Engine
MOT/TAX a year
Stored most of the year
Just about every part of history paper wise
Have had valuations on my RST and some handsome offers in the past would genuily swap if i felt i was winning out of it, anyone know what kind of money they hold or even sell for in a fairly imaculate condition ?

the capri is allready at the top of its value in terms of history but the rs will keep getting more valueable

mk1 capri's wont really be at top of value, the older they get, the less there are, the more sort after they become.
have you got a series 1 or 2 RST?

Ryan, my mom's driving a Capri, and owned a S1 RST, and she said the RST doesn't compared to any other Ford she's driven apart from the Saphire Cossie, so imo keep the RST it's an absoulte mint car.

God you'd be off your head swapping for the capri mate
The RS is a true collectors car and loved be many where as the capri is more aimed at the older mans classics market

those capris were a normal slow car in its days your rst was at least a bit special, so I wouldn't swap unless the capri was an rs3100/ turbo technics or something

You'd need two or three XR Turbos for that swap.

the model was never called a brooklands, it was called a 280i special, which was only avalible in brooklands green

Even James is wrong
There was the 2.8i special (the ones with half leather and usually two tone paint) and then there was the last ever production Capri which was sold in one colour only and called the 280S.
