but i was just checking renewal quotes and i can insure the 2.5 for the same price as an XE corsa or ibiza cupra

got to be so much more car for the money?

I saw an early 2.5 advertised for 3.5k the other day!! There getting cheap!!

i could probably just about afford one, after a few words with the bank manager,

and wouldnt be paying much more on insurance than i did on my vtr last year.

just worried about parts costs, servicing etc.

jakey- the speed isnt why im interested tbh, im chucking all of my money away on the corsa every month. its a 11 year old shopping car, 'you cant polish a turd' comes to mind.

Yeh there was one in a dealer by mine for £5k about 6 months ago, thought that was cheap back then.

A customers son at my old work was 18 and had an 04 plate boxter an the insurance was 7k or something silly.
Car lasted 6 months then was changed for a 56 plate cayman s!

I love them though.

obviously it would be left completley standard, its just the running costs that are putting me off.

opinions on reliability? (based on first hand experience, not what jim from down the pub heard from his dogs great uncle)
