So what do poeple think to them?
There a 1.9 TDI engine 130bhp easily remaped to 160bhp
Have mentioned to a few people im wanting one and it still seems the carry a bad name for the un educated few.

Been reading up a bit on them and personally i think there cool and a nice fast`ish car. Have only driven one round my works yard but has anyone driven one for some good distance?

what did you think or it?

with a little modding could easily look like this aswell which kinda turns me on

if they had a VW badge on them it would be absolutely fine, the name skoda hasn't totally become " a good make to have", to people that are not in the know about them.

They are ace. I have an Ibiza with the same engine as a VRS and it performs beautifully with that added bonus of only sipping the fuel!
I'd deffo go for one, it has the practicality of 5 doors for when you need it, decent build quality and reliability, a good load of grunt as standard and will easily remap to 170 - then with mods way past that.
Lowered, Octavia vrs mk1 wheels and it looks sweet.

I think they are great little cars, only reason I didn't get one is because I am only 20 so don't want a diesel car, I'd definetly consider them, they have lots of potential

I love them - if all goes to plan with my job, I'll be having one in the summer to use daily, so the Corsa can be played with instead.

I didn't realise they were quite that cheap either Graham

I had one for about 2 and half years. Reliable 190bhp.
Great fun. Bit dated looking now. Interior hard to keep clean. And as much as you dont let it get to you the skoda thing gets many jokes!
A great car though, I really did like mine.

If anyone on here buys it, I will send the OBDII map tool to change maps. (Switched back to standard to trade in)!

My dads got a 06plate one, with about 80k on and its going on strong!

Get a good set of wide wheels on,, slammed, debadged and a LCR splitter and

Edit: I don't get why people say, I wouldn't have one, im too young. I turned 18 the other week and I would have one. I love just being able to put your foot down in any gear and it will pull! Also remember, more doors, more whores!

In terms of your long distance question, a user on here did some kind of Gumball thing and he didn't have any complaints.

I had a PD130 in my Seat Ibiza. Can only comment on the engine as i have never driven the VRS.

Mine was stage one remapped and produced 175bhp and 308lb ft of torque.

I am currently on the look out for either a VRS or Ibiza TDI. Reason i went for the Ibiza was it was slightly cheaper, the vrs seem to hold there money.

red ones look good. Interior is garish (seats) but dash looks good.

I wouldnt mind one as an economical hatch, but its a 5door diesel so not going to set the world on fire

Think Steve put Fabia wheels on his? Looked 20x better

They do a blue colour similar to Arden blue which is nice
