My word how cheap are the 125cc twist and go mopeds?
Our office might be moving soon so am considering one. I have 25 miles of single A roads followed by 5 miles of city traffic. Am figuring the 125cc scooter is the best for both as I have never rode a motorbike.
Any good makes to go for? oh and 90mpg on some!!

dont get a scooter.
get a cg125
cheap, not too slow, and you wont look like a bell end like on a scooter, but youll still see good mpg

60 miles a day on a scooter? No thanks
Can you not drive down the A roads, then park up somewhere and get a bus / other method of transport for the City traffic?

Get a 125cc 'motorcross' bike. Still great MPG, but faster than a scooter and will cope when it snows

You'd be lucky to get anywhere near 90mpg

Aprilia SR125 de-restricted will do 70mph maybe 75mph, accelrates stupidly quick and it's twist and go.

Thing is a commuter I would rather have a fast scooter, easier to nip in and out of traffic.

I would get a runner 125 4 stroke. And dont bother with geared bikes....a rev and go in stop stat/in and out of car traffic is better.

I really think I should get my CBT done and spend a bit of my ISA on a 125cc, im starting to get bored of push biking everywhere, is it really that dangerous in the wet, or is it only dangerous if you drive like a prick?
edit - drive? or ride?
