Mind your clutch, and your engine mounts I had issues with both due to launch control incidents in my Fiesta

Can get a clutch for £50 and change it in 30mins so not worried. Mounts are also solid, LOL

Yeh, TBs dont really increase torque much over standard so don't see the need for anything more substantial. Had a standard clutch on my old astra with Tbs for over 10,000miles and it got serious abuse.

I know it increases them, I meant doesn't increase it enough to warrant uprating the clutch, besides, its not like it's a heavy car anyway

I'm gonna be the 1st n00b to ask what the video's all about? I was expecting you to crease the tarmac with a rapid launch. Not being cheeky, genuinely stumped.
EDIT: 2nd then by the looks of it

The launch control is retarding the ignition timing, and limiting the rpm of the engine down to a set amount, that is why it sits and spits flames, as soon as he pulls away the timing is advanced again.

Any advantages over if you didn't install it?
And Kurt, yes, but I'm trying to get to the bottom of it.

Our Transit will only rev to 3k with the clutch in, why doesnt that spit flames?

Because the ignition timing isn't retarded, and presumably, it's a diesel.

all our workvans only rev to 2.5-3k while clutch is in, i think its becuase they know they will get a shit load of abuse, but if you quick enough you can redline it in neutral, then quickly cltch it and stick it in first then off you go, in our transit all i get is diff judder though

Silly question but what is gained by retarding the ignition timing? (as far as launch control is concerned).
