I realise this may not be the place to ask but my missus is getting a brand new RR Vogue arriving in the next 2 weeks.
We didn't know anything about it until yesterday morning as its being supplied for her personal and business use for the job she started just before new year.
Does anyone have any experience with them? Only thing I keep hearing is that they're forever breaking down

Nice cars to be in, give a lot of presence and you *will* feel more special than other people.
Even if its a TDi it will sap up the fuel, and just hope its not the underpowered BMW lump.
Quite boaty to drive on ANY sort of bend.

Sounds like it's leased.
What does your missus do if you don't mind me asking, that requires her to have a RR and not a Passat TDi or something?!

General Manager of a Country House Hotel; Passat wouldn't look right on the driveway I guess.
They're not leased, the owner of the company has 70 Vogues for use by the staff within the business; each hotel (there's 34) gets a Vogue for use by the GM

From my tax lectures she will get bummed on tax for fuel I think. Its a case of the company pays for ALL fuel then you get taxed on £16000 worth of fuel or something, or the employee pays for all fuel and you dont pay extra tax on fuel allowance....

I think thats why its classed as a hotel car rather than a personal or company car as a way around the tax; we don't know all the ins and outs yet and we're keeping her Zetec S as well for a while

Although not a vogue - I have had a new RR Sport TDV8 for a few weeks before christmas.
I had the AA out on numerous occasions as it wouldnt start, and ended up in the dealership for 5 days to be fixed.
I have looked about and the LR product is not as reliable as some may have thought.

Does anyone else have the use of the car or is it solely for her use? If only her, I would say the taxman will find out

The minute it is used for personal use, it is a benefit in kind, and therefore taxable. The Tax wont be very kind, which is why (including LR themselves) give the driver/user an allowance rather to avoid the heavy tax.

That'll be their way round - its to be used by the Head chef and restaurant manager as well to attend in-house conferences - however they don't need it more than 2 days a year each iirc

Ewww...
Next door had one, told me it was the worse buy he ever made.
3.0TDi used to do about 13 to the gallon, £120 to 300 miles.
His mate had a V8 Vouge that did on average 8MPG.
Theyre just a big Chelsea Tractor, extreamly pointless IMO
