Why pay 10k for that when you can get a Monaro for the same money?

PETERS SELLING IT
OJC, you should know why...... Why spend anything on a car.
Needless to say, and i'll confirm with truth (Sure JR will back me up here), Pete is a TOP bloke, he's about 50, works with stainless steel, done most of the work himself, its got top spec 4 pot brembos, Monaro engine, leather, quite rare 27 peice bodykit.
It was mental with the 2.0 turbo, let alone the V8. Nutters car

Ok ok, it's had a lot of money spent on it but I'd rather have a car that already has the engine in place and was intially built for the V8.
Over 10k is a LOT of money for a modifed car.

People with a real interest will know where to find images. You can see its not a pikey boyracer shoddy job, there-for if you have £10k and are interested, you would arrange a visit or more pictures.
Not moan on a site jsut cos you can't see the engine

And the rest
Lets not forget that as credible as the car is, and no matter how much of a top bloke Pete is - it was built without a jig afaik, and it has not been without issues, which is almost to be expected.
Worth £10k all day to the right buyer

Whats the point in turbo'ing a Civic engine.
Why stick a LET in a corsa
Why stick a V6 in a nova
Why did someone stick a skyline lump in a focus....
Why why why???
Becuase its fun, and people like building new things. Your the last person i'd have expected to ask this kind of question.....

when selling a house with some special feature, you generally include it to attract attention so that you know not to expect failure.
a pic of the engine would help him, 1st law of advertising is to show what your advertising-i see an astra, but no v8. advertising fail.

You don't need to tell me these things, but come off it. Offers over 10k? That 10k in the current climate would get you a seriously decent car at the moment.
Or even an Astra Coupe for 4k and spend another 3k on making it the best Coupe Turbo in the world and have change for some prostitutes?

Agree, the people who know him and seen it built clearly aren't buying it so he has to cater for those not in the know.

Lovely motor, must sound amazing. Bodykit's brilliant looking IMO what's the make of it?
Only thing that would put me off (taking money out of the equation) would be the colour. I'd say it just doesn't suit it.

TBH i take my hat off to anybody that can create a RWD V8 car to a high spec, its not easy, and imo always goes very underestimated how much work it actually takes.

I dont understand this £10,000 is a lot for a modded car thing, I'd just buy a monaro etc, If people did that then i would have a Cav GSi not a corsa redtop, A golf MK5 Gti not a Modded Mk4 Gti etc
Modded cars just wouldnt be around,
This car is ugly as fook, Wheels are shite, But who has a V8 astra? and i like the inside, I'd just put the outside back to standard and put some proper rims on,
Top bloke for doing it, I hope to be doing stuff like this at his age, Not just buying a 2 door Omega V8 badged as a monaro from the dealer,

i really like the v8 idea in the astra..
