I insured the car in my name, My mate has Fully comp insurance and can drive any car with owners permission.

Work out who is the cheaper to be the policy holder, then stick your mate on as a named driver then go halfs on the cost

Nope, depends on insurance company, Policy Holder, If a claim has been made. there are factors they take into account.

I once enquired about insuring my mate on my car. Guy on the phone told me if they were over 21 and my partner it wold be free....so yeah

i would check to see if there are restrictions on engine size.. i.e one not larger than your own.. often how it works

Yep,Quinn are fly bastards when it comes to this.Many folk(including myself)have been shafted in the past for that trick.
Read the smallprint mate and im willing to place a bet that your not actually insured to drive any car with the owners permission.
For a start you need to have a full E.U licence.Something that most people who live in the UK dont have.

when you are third party fire and theft with quinn direct and you are the policy holder you are insred to drive any car with the owners permission. unfortunately i cant because my dads the poilcy holder on mine lol

Wrong, I rang up and asked and they told me straight that I was insured to drive other cars, also when I passed my test they told me the day I changed my license to a full UK license that I was insured to drive any car.
Only limitation is something daft like a open topped safari truck .

All this under/over 25, tpft, whatever, if it says on your policy you can you can, if it doesn't you can't, a lot of confusion over this for some reason and it's quite simple.
