Renewal is up in february, so time to plan for a new car.

Will be 18, 1yr NCB.

Paying £1k for a 1.4 Sport now, would be willing to pay the same next year for something better, perhaps even a bit more.

Really want a Clio 172, but cant see the insurance touching me on that

Yer I would keep the sport a bit longer. As I think you will find the next step up for cars with a bit more preformance still a bit pricey. Give It another year and you should be able to get cars like VTS's and 106 gtis for sub £1000 insurance and 172's if you dont mind spending a bit more

my 106gti 02 plate was 1400fc with elephant, add 3 named drivers who are over 25ish and it will make it cheaper...

FruitBooTeR-look where he lives though, everyone in scotland gets cheap insurance! 1k for a 1.4sport at 17 is seriously good. Cheapest I could get on Corsash's 1.2 8v was 2k (but all mods declared), although a standard sport was about 2k too. And I live in one of the better parts of nottingham

no one said a 1.6 sport
get a bmw because it's a bmw maybe just a 316i or something, about the same speed as a 1.4 sport but the added extra of RWD
