Sport, theyre generally the newer models and have nicer interior IMO and more toys

I'm not sure if some late SRI's were 16v

ALL SRI's were 1.4 though iirc, whereas the sport was available in 1400 or 1600

no such thing as a c14xe, only c14se, which is 8v

it was the x14xe in the late sri

Well it depends. SRi is in 1.4 8v or 16v form. Sport is in 1.4 16v (Same engine as SRi 16v) and 1.6 16v. From then I'd take the 1.6

They made them 16v from 95 i believe...
Has a different gearbox to the sports as well i think...

something to take into account is that most sri's will be rotting by now...sports seem to be sound...post 96 seems to be pretty much free from rust mate...and the 1.4 16v engine is a good one...takes death all day long and in return burns a little bit of oil haha! nice little motors
