Me and the Mrs are are goign away to Tenerefe on boxing day for the new year, flights were not cheap so we said we wouldnt get eachother anything this year.

Trouble is you know what birds are like and i can see xmas day coming, her handing me a present and me being like

So do i get her somthing or not?

Get some choc's aswell, that way if she has spent a bit more, you can be like ah...hang on....and if not just break them out in the evening and say its a treat

this is easy. buy something but keep the receipt. dont give her the gift unless she gives you something. that way, if she's not got you anything, she wont feel bad. if she doesn't give you anything you can get your money back on the gift you got her. i'd always get her something though. even if its just a teddy bear or something.

Too right, this could go both ways. I like this idea similar to what a guy at work said, was thinking of getting her maybe a Nintendo DS(with going away, 4 1/2 flight and going Africa in March) and if shes get me nothing then keep it for her birthday in March
