thought i saw a snooker thread the other day.........

you lot still watching this? our snooker team have done a sweep on the quarter final stages and i got Ali Carter. he played well against williams yesterday. he made one mistake but luck was on his side and he just scraped the match.
looking forward to todays match between higgins and maguire.

i've been watching it. I think if williams didn't get that kick in the last frame he wonld of won. Higgins will batter maguire. I think higgins will win, he's playing very well.

i agree about williams. he looked gutted but i think he knew he'd played the wrong shot. i was very tired when i watched last night but iirc he could have put carter back and made him play his shot again. can't blame him for going for it really as carter was potting very well.

i also think higgins will batter maguire. should see some good snooker in that match though. when its 2 scotsmen its always a good un.
i'd like the see lee or carter in the final.

Yeah i felt for williams in both situations. The snooker was awesome & carter played the worst shot ever. Williams should have made him play the shot again, but carter had a good eye for that pot. I didn't think it would pot. Higgins will win the tournament & for a change i want him to win.

The Wizard of Wishaw FTW

I've actually caught very little of it this year, I usually watch it all the time. Stayed up last night to watch the conclusion of the Carter and Williams match, I wish Williams would rediscover the form he had years ago. His long pots were amazing.

Aye he took the frame of the back of a long effort into the right corner pocket which he held for the black off a red, that was a cracking shot!

Havn't really watched it today . I watched murphy for a few frames, he looked dynomite.

EDIT. Didn't know that maguire beat higgins , there goes my prediction out the window.

the maguire v murphy match is gonna be good due to the rivalry. i can't really pick a clear winner atm. i think maybe Fu is a slight favourite but who knows?

Higgins was turd when he came out for the evening session. he found a bit of form to pull it back but seemed to run out of steam.

Murphy v Maguire will be a good watch. Murphy doesn't want to get in the safety game with maguire though, but murphy was potting some belters when i see him play. Tough call really.

I personally think Ali Carter will batter Marco Fu. Would be nice to see Ali win something to be honest.

Snooker extra later FTW.

i'm actually toying with the idea of backing carter to win it. i've got him in the sweep already so depending on the bookies price it might pay for some of my christmas drinking!

There would be no point. He's probberly favourite to be in the final so the odds would be pretty shit.

I need the money but i had a strange feeling someone would get one. The odds would be pretty good, IIRC only 15 147 have been made in tournament history since the first televised 147.
