tbh, raising it will actually worsen the situation, because it'll never get paid back.

And don't tarnish us all with the same brush, we're not all that bad. I for one, can't wait to start working. I actually went to Uni to better my career prospects, not doss around.

I'm not knocking it if you actually intend on going to Uni to achieve something, and I don't mean getting pissed and debting yourself up to your eyeballs for the sake of delaying work.

I personally think this is a myth. Everyone i know who's gone to Uni has gone for the right reasons and come out with exactly what they wanted...they're all doing very well for themselves now too!

We've been over this before.

The major flaw in what you said there is that only the ones already in jobs are repaying the loans. If you raise it, a lot of the layabout dossers will just go bankrupt/not get a job and bother giving any back.

So basically, if you raise the interest rates you're only affecting the working population. Not the "fuckwits".

That's my issue.

No, everyone I come into contact with who has been to Uni now do absolutely nothing to do with what they studied at Uni.

We have Uni students come into my place for interviews, no financial industry experience and because they have a degree in business studies believe they are going to start at the top of the ladder, big ideas and end up not being able to work in a high pressure sales office in the 'real world' as it's to much for them, to many years dossing around on their arses dreaming the big dream, but when it comes down to it they are useless.

I'm not saying this applys to all, but a vast majority we see at work.
