I was coming home from Uni the other day, sitting at a steady 60mph because I was listening to the radio, generally chilled out.

Then a National Express coach came passed me, and I'm not talking lorry overtaking lorry speed passed me, actually came passed me with ease I sped up to about 63mph to make allowances for dodgey speedo, so I was doing about 60mph and barely caught it. I had to go indicated 65mph+ to overtake.

I've also not been able to keep up with one of a downhill slip road

Are the exempt from limiters or something?!

my dad is a bus driver and they are limited to about 63 but there is one vehicle what my dad uses where the limiter is broken and will go up to 80mph

Does seem very strange. Normally nothing comes passed when I sit at 60mph. I couldn't believe how quick it had caught up and came by, I had to double take.

I thought it was 56mph, like lorrys.

you had to speed up a whole 5mph to overtake it? think of the mpg's wasted

should be 56mph i guess, but i've seen a few, as you say, overtake me with ease in average speed limits.

Nothing.

But a coach, is governed by law with a limiter. The point I'm trying to make, is this coach had no limiter.

But, after people saying 100km/h = 62mph, than it was just on full chat.

Lorries are 80km/h im sure, which is about 50mph

So because you listen to the radio, you sit at 60?
