Why are the 50 profiles better? Surely the 45 profile would give you that little less tyre movement?

just gives the right tyre movement for handling, 45s just seem that little bit to stiff..
just from experience realy, ive had 45 and 50 profile tyres in the same brand and feel that the 50s grip better.
also a few mates to track days at donny and they think the same..

Just depends on what u want them for.Track, road etc.
Theyr isnt a "best" as such.Every1 will have different opinions of different tyre brands.

I have Yokohama S-drive at the moment, they seem pretty good in the dry but start sliding a bit if I go round roundabouts too fast. Can't give them much more of a review than that with this engine
Will probably go for Goodyear when they need replacing

Ive used Nankangs on a few cars and for a budget tyre, they are pretty good.Had them on my old V6 Mk3 Gsi and they were grippy as fuck in the dry.Was able to launch it good without spinning them up.

50s would give more grip yes because the tyre wall comes in contact with the road as well as the tread.
