Would you attempt your first oil change today, considering a wind chill of -5 and 3 inches of snow, when your outside on the road doing it?

I've had to change a wheel bearing in the snow so an oil change will be easy.

Hmm, it didnt go so well
Where I live is shite so couldnt jack it up or ought so went over to my dad's where we used a flat driveway. Got it in the air and removed the plastic sump guard and then got on the blower to SteveX16XE and found the sump nut.
First problem - instead of an open ended spanner i was expecting for the nut, its a fuckoff size torx bolt.....of which weve got 1 size too small and am 20 minutes from civilisation That was the end of that then for the day.
But oh no its not, I go to put the sump guard back on, as im tightening up theres a creak and a crack and one of the legs on the axle stand is snapping Bear in mind these are 2-tonne rated stands, 2 on one side of the car, so that was a hairy experience to say the least
Anyways finished off quickly and get on the drive home, going down a long straight road at 70mph the bastard thing flies off and nearly takes some poor sod in a golf out behind me Pulled over to see if i could find it, but by this time its 430 and dead of night so thats something else to buy now
Eventful day, yet still no oil change
