Sounded a bit rubbish but it was a laugh

I was very disappointed at they're attempt at lightening it, you'd have thought all the plastics would've been removed with a lump hammer in typical Clarkson fashion

It still had a dash even after they'd spent more time on it

With the budget they could have done a much better job TBH. All they were trying to do was beat the EVO's time not make a long lasting track car. Did not need to spend £3k on brakes, uprated discs and pads for about £500 would have been up to the job. Most important things were handling, weight loss, and more power! With the money they spent on the brakes had gone on engine i.e cams and remap and had spent more time lightening, would have been much quicker.

If they gave me 9.5k to spend on mods, I reckon the Stig could have got closer to 1.28 in my Zaf..

Bloody hell, they probably couldn't legally do that!

Imagine all the little boy racer's with 1.0's that watch top geat. They'd have a "2.0T" converstion within a month And probably be dead / no insurance / tax / MOT aswell.

(HAVENT WATCHED THIS YET)
but i assume they were trying to beat an evo's time around a track in which case uprated breaks would have helped loads (again havent watched it so dont know what the car/breaks were like standard.)

but theres a vid im sure on youtube. showing the diffence a standard car with uprated breaks against an standard car around a track, and they did make a massive difference.

admittedly 3k is a bit excessive but still.

Yeah, they could have done that better tbh. At the end of the day it'll probably go in a warehouse somewhere when they're done with it so they might as well wreck the interior.
