There was a kids football match, and one of the players was running and shouted to his Dad for his inhaler. Then he fell down. An ambulance turns up, and the paramedics were giving him chest pumps and everything Then the air ambulance came over, landed, and then a few mins later they left without taking him with them. They took the young lad into another ambulance, but didn't drive off. Could hear his Dad crying from where we were standing

I really hope he is aright. He looked no older than 14.

They were giving him chest pumps for at least 15 mins. His Dad was on his knees, really haunting hearing him cry. It's so sad

Makes you realise how lucky the pro's are. When John Terry swallowed his tongue a couple of years back he had immediate attention. If that was the same situation in a pub football match on a sunday morning then you would be lucky to have someone around who knows what he's doing. Hope the lads alright.

I've seen an air ambulance arrive at the scene a few times and not take the patient. Both times the person has ended up fine, hope this is the case this time...

They tend to send them out of the incident is on a playing field etc, only very rarely they will take them off by air ambulance to the hospital.

We had one turn up at school once, young lass had a fit walking across the football field. She went off in a normal ambulance.

As far as i know each team is suppose to name someone as a first aider, whether they have to prove it is another matter. Im not sure if my team has one...

very sad.

A lad at my school, 1 year older, used to play rugby and could have potential made it professional. One bad tackle and now he is paralysed from the neck down - he died a couple of times on the scene and if they didn't have an air ambulance local he probably wouldn't be with us. i no my old club the lad had go on course dunno about my new team like
