Why are they such a pain

Simply wanted to replace a sidelight

Took over an hour and a trip to honda

Had to jack the car up and remove the wheel and arch lining to do it

Then some of the pop clips broke so I had to go to honda before I could re assemble it

Worst thing is I now need to do the other side as the newer bulb is brighter

Anyone else have issues working on cars with a lack of space

Bring back the days of working on corsa b's with 1.2 8v engines. You could practically stand in the bay with the engine there was that much space

Not such a modern car but ford KAs are less than fun to work on, try changing a drivers side head light bulb.

You cant even fit the engine in without stripping it to the block then building it in place.

They make it so hard so people take it to the main dealers to do simple jobs like this.

My Fiesta is easy as pie! Took me no time at all to put my HID's in.

And when wiring my sounds in, the whole interior is on clips, it's fantastic!

They are making them more difficult to do but i've yet to go to a dealer to get them to do it, they're not that difficult.

My Astra lights are accessed through the wheel arch but there's a flap to clip off and then you're right in there. Five minutes.

I remember when a mate took his van to a dealer for a side light (was a works van so all work had to be done by dealer)
The mechanic came out looked at the van, then smashed his head light with his ratchet as he said its easier to replace the full light under the warrenty than it was the side light bulb

They're designed to be built efficiently. I don't think they care about what happens after they have left the production line

Was it pre facelift? as the ones without the projector lights are a hell of alot easier

Oh and the side lights are the hard one, main beam and dipped are easy

My beeza is easy for the headlight bulbs, 2 little metal clips hold the back of the light unit on, take that off and theres access to all the bulbs! Passenger side is a little more resctrive as the battery is in the way, still not too hard though.

Just a little random thing I know, If you are on a drivig test and a headlight bulb goes, you h ave5mins to change the bulb otherwise you fail!!

lol, something that i come across everyday.

Imagine trying to do it in a car park with some prick looking over your shoulder...

there are some cars that are just stupidly designed. but then, thats why they're all 5-star N-Cap...

The face life Corsa C is a pain in the arse to change the front bulbs. It's a front bumper off job.

307 is a pain to change the rear bulbs, have to take the whole light out.
