So, because I’m officially now a student (all be it part time), I’ve gone and got myself an NUS card.
What places do you go for discount on stuff?
Disclaimer I'll probably also check the NUS site for a list of places which give you the discount, but i want your opinions also

You get nothing with an NUS card. You need to buy an NUS Extra card which will probably get you some discount somewhere you don't even shop.

You know the price before you go to Uni, so you cant complain about it.
Pisses me right having to pay full price for stuff & then my work shy Uni going mates bowl up & get in places for free

Same. Our student ID actually has the NUS logo on the back if they query it.
Our Student Union has actually stopped working along side the NUS I believe, because they thought it was a complete rip off and not worth it.
