Do people take over doses. Personally i think it's just attention seeking. If you want to die, tie a rope around your neck and have done with it.

Looks like a trip down to London this week to see the cunt. Waste of good time..

I have no time for this guy but blood is thicker than water and all that..

Isn't this thread kind of classed as attention seeking? Do we really need to know someone in your family has tried to kill themselves? :/

So just as much an attention whole as the scuicidal family member.

Only difference is the family person probably has REAL problems, and your just being an AW?

Thing's must be pretty bad that he is thinking of taking his own life, no matter how bad things got I would never do anything of the sort, you only get 1 chance.

Ex gf used to try and OD with her mate. The key word is '"try". Pathetic little bint If she really wanted to die she would hae done it properly. Attention seeking

I suppose we never really know whats going through peoples minds when they try to kill themselves but I reckon they probably regret it when its too late.

If you want to die so badly just get a fucking long with it. One thing calling us harsh, but suicide is selfish and harsh on the relatives.

I never questioned how selfish it was, I very much agree. But I don't see how you anyone can question what's going through someones mind when they do it. Attention perhaps, not always!

I knew 2 previous school friends that both killed themselves in front of trains.
A mates dad also killed himself with the hosepipe through the car window.
Very selfish imo.

Saying its attention seeking may not be entirely correct. Don't mean to sound sick but they won' be there to see the attention they get it their attempt is successful. people that throw themselves on front on trains are selfish, scarring the drivers and passengers for life having to see such an atrocity.

From my experience (ex gf) it was attention. I asked her why and she just shrugged. It's because her best friend tried it. Everybody goes through a rough patch, doesn't mean you gotta take it that far.

one of the old boys at work just recently had his wife of 26years leave him for an internet date, poor old sod took 41 sleeping tablets and washed them down with a bottle of vodka, ended up in a coma for a few days

came back to work last week, had a nervous breakdown and never came in the rest of the week, came into work today to find out he was planning on killiing himself again but was stopped, hes now in a mental institute, very sad
