If I was getting a 1-series, it'd definitely be the coupe.

I've been out in a 1-series once, it was a 118 I think though. They seem OK, but I'm not a fan of BMWs in general so I won't be saying "get one!"

Cousin has one with that version engine in it and he said its not that economical. Actually prefers the Seat Leon FR TDI he had before.

The 177bhp one is meant to be much better

Good cars, good engine and looks good in any bodystyle. Try to stretch for the M-Sport version.

Yes. It was very nice. Also driven a 2.0TDi Passat. The BMW just feels so much more superior.

I disagree. Dad's 3 door is pretty spacious in the back. He's 5'10" so the seat isn't exactly far forward.

I think it might possibly be

The facelift models are also much nicer in the 3 door. As the front doors are frameless so when you open the doors you just have the bare glass etc

Christ knows what was up with this Passat then. I put my foot down in 2nd for example when in slow traffic, didn't need first at all. Nothing nothing nothing then bam, passed 3krpm or something, the turbo kicks in.
