To be fair, there are 40880 posts in the for sale section. There are going to be the annoying few who think they're above the law.

I think there should be a edit on the Topic of the thred, it is not CorsaSport's Scams, it is a handfull of users that want to gain money by wromg means, nothing to do with CS.
Each individual has there own oppinion and ideas on what they want to do so it is up the the individual if they want to buy stuff of a internet forum.

In regards to PVD, they looked quite professional and ran for a while, you can't blame people too much for being caught out there.

but he did try claiming he didnt get the paypal money, so i told him he did, then he changed and said he's got it now.

Seemed a bit dodgy, but paypal is a pain at the best of times.

Yeah its one thing being done by a n00b, its another being done by people and businesses (sponsors sometimes!) who have been on here for a while.

PVD wasn't a scammer. PVD just had serious cashflow problems due to the MD's wanting to have the best of everything.

The business failed through cash flow, not through being a scammer.

Not that im defending Pete at all, but Vicki was innocent as to how much Pete was spending.

put yourself in PVD pete's shoes.....

You run a LTD company.... you have got into trouble and you see no way out. I'd fold/shut up shop... and I'm damn sure everyone else would. That how businesses work i'm afraid.

Its shite, but it happens. And for some crappy reason there isnt much that can be done. AFAIK VSport wasnt limited liability though.

Nope.

Police werent interested even though we had so much evidence (had done their work for them!). Pics of my wheels on his car, confirmation from US company that these were custom built wheels and no other set were in Europe, copies of all receipts and emails, etc. etc.

Ins covered the car, but not any of the parts which was a huge amount.

Aye, Pete left with being backrupt, and a £300+k debt over himself that was put onto his mothers house.

I don't know how Vicki faired, i've not seena peep from her since, but Pete was the blood everyone wanted.

Vicki hit the roof when she found out, i think a few punches were thrown

The liability is only limited (hence the name) and in certain situations if it can be proved you have acted wrongly when knowing you're going down the pan you can end up with a huge amount of the debt placed personally on you.

Pass, this was Pete, capable of anything stupid.

Got to remember, he went from school, to Curries, to scamming Dave out of PVD (originally PVC), to riches, to bust, to hiding, all in a few years

Oj, Vicki, wheres she now?
