Got myself some of this last week, stuck a coat on the car last night.
Was very easy to put on, didn't use much, left it for a couple of hours, was extremely difficult to get back off.
Think this may have been something to do with it being in my garage that was just a few degrees above outside which was freezing (as in 0 degrees)
Car looks brilliant with it on, really deep red and shiny, i'll just see if it stacks up to these durability claims now.
Some bad pictures, (only because this thread is useless without pics, they are crap, first go with my polarizer and it didn't go well for some reason

Also some beading with just the meguiars nxt tech wax for those who think you need to spend a million pounds to get good results.

Looks good.
I always take wax off after about a minute, doing a panel at a time. Its a pig to get off otherwise like you have said.

I've never found a concrete answer about that, some people talk about leaving it on for hours at a time etc, would be much easier taking it off straight away.

Did you just go wax and didn't polish before hand?
My routine is
Chemical Guys Polish
Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze
Chemical Guys Jetseal 109

It was clayed, polished and tech waxed about a fortnight ago, I just fancied seeing what the collinite was like, was still in good enough condition to apply that without doing everything again.

Yeah thats fair enough. I'd apply to a panel, then remove straight away. Doing a panel at a time then do a second coat afterwards.
I'd never leave wax on for longer than 5 minutes, it can dry out very quickly in the cold, always better to do it when it's warmer. Apply by hand as well?

Used one of the sponge things you get for applying it and a cloth for buffing it off.
I'll try a panel at a time the next time i do it.

I don't think you will be disappointed with the durability. For the price it really does perform very very well, I've yet to find a better wax that will beat it for value.
I wouldn't leave it on for a few hours but just do a few panels at a time. But i'd say it doesn't do it much harm either way. Prob easier to come off if the weather is a bit hotter.

I have Sonus Der Wunder applicator pads which are superb.
I have heard vxrmarc say that one of the best applicators is a cut up sponge from Halfords, never tried it myself but might well give it a go next time.

I'm tempted to go out and apply some to my wheels, there's not a mark on them and i'd like to keep it that way, it's cold though

Yes but those are the ones that none of us are ever likely to use. MONEY.

Do it. Before I went to Nurburgring I took all the wheels off the Astra and put two coats of Jetseal on them, when I cleaned them when I came back it certainly made life easier and has prevented tar sticking to them but they could still do with a couple more coats.
Very good way of preserving the wheels and giving them a more glossy look.

You want to seal them not wax them mate. Poorboys wheel sealant or Jetseal 109 is the absolute dogs danglies for that.
You have to polish them before applying the sealent and it's very time consuming but it means you can just spray the muck off your wheels everytime they get dirty, handy if you have white multispokes

i just used some poverty spec turtle wax wax on them, it works tbh, wheels are so easy to clean, they just wipe clean.
what would a wheel sealant do better?

Seal in the shine and prevent them getting pitted and stop tar getting stuck to them.

Get amongst it mate. Poorboys wheel sealant is easier to use and is cheaper but needs takes a fair few coats to achieve the same results as say 3 coats as Jetseal.

quality stuff, water beaded for about 8months after i applied it to my old corsa. It's the easiest stuff to take off if you only leave it till it hazes. Like you i left it on for ages by accident and was a bugger to wipe off

Collinite is great stuff - especially for the money.
I tend to do a panel at a time on customers cars - allowing it to haze then buff off - not affected the durability.
On my van I tend to go around the whole thing then buff off immediately afterwards - really no need to wait for it to cure - this is normally required more on high carnuba content waxes.
I find 2 coats will last for near on a year - has done on my van anyway.
Apply using a damp sponge applicator, take off using a clean microfibre - spray a little bit of quick detailer on to the panel before hand if needs be.
Re. Wheels - I use Jetseal 109 or Poorboys Wheel Sealant - apply a couple of coats and you're sorted
