Anyone made their own? Taking out the original mount and filling them with stickaflex?

I did on my old car, made a difference. Lasted about 6 months and then went back to normal.
Now got proper solid mounts on my corsa, the difference is immense.

The car isn't used all the time so they only have to be better than what it's like at the moment, engine rocking all over the place even with brand new mounts.
Where did you get all of your mounts from Dave? I can only find the rear gearbox mount.

proper mounts are iirc £180 but ibought mine 9 months ago
they was from chris astley motorsport and the difference is like whiskey and water
MASSIVE
they stop the engine movement when trying to get the power down and keep the engine in one place so less loss of power from pull off and also i found less wheel spin. but if you like comfort then dont buy because they rattle fook out of the car with the vibrations

If you are driving around McDonalds car park then nothing. But more solid mounts prevent the engine from flexing when you are trying to put the power down. Corsa seems to suffer from it quite badly.

Possibly on an C20XE, but C16XE then some Ghetto mods like this should last longer and do the job.

I would personally as they weigh quite a bit more than my engine which will be fine with DIY, plus you have the turbo coming on and off boost so quite a bit of movement.

i would if your going to the trouble and expenses of putting a let in then you want to get the best out of it
and Ojc i was referring to a c20xe as thats what mine is but i would imagine yes on a 1.6 it would possibly do as a stop gap

solid mounts are amazing. On mine you can feel the starter motor when I turn the ignition through the steering wheel. even the wing mirror glass shakes when I turn the key lmao
