probably the plane falling out of the air because like, how can them engines keep that big old rusty thing up there?

and terrorists
and mid air collisions
and engines exploding

etc

take some smaller cheap flights within the UK and see if you can adjust? you wont be up for long but doing it a couple of times may get you use to it.

Book one of these foundation flying lessons in a Cessna. Once you get up there, you'll have seen all the checks etc that go into a small aircraft which are multiplied by hundreds in a passenger jet, as well as getting a feel for flying itself.

If you have an idea of what's happening up front on a flight, you might find it calming.

Oh, and a serious post....my sister is shit scared of flying and had to fly out to Spain on her own this year. The Doc gave her some Diazepam which she took and it really calmed her down.

Also might of helped she took slightly over what was prescribed and had some vodka with them

Morely likely to die on the way to the airport than on the plane!

Statistically, flying is the safest form of travel and it accounts for the least number of deaths throughout any type of transport, if the figures I read still apply. The most deaths; driving.

If the plane does any frantic shit its probably normal, becuase if it wasn't you'd know about it.

I flew over a hurricane on the way to America for the first time.

Fuck me.

Planes don't rust, they're aluminium and plastic.
Aerofoils create lift
Terrorists could probably get you if they weren't so fucking thick
Mid air collisions are incredibly incredibly rare
The engines are designed to be able to explode and not cause the plane to crash and planes can fly on one engine for the amount of time it will take to fly to a planned alternate airport if an engine failure were to occur anywhere on the flight, it's something to do with ETOPS laws.

There you go, nothing to be scared of

You could be sat next to some hugely over weight and stinking woman who has a bad case of the shits but is too fat to get into the toilet so has to go into a bag next to you.

I'm not a fan of it either, mainly due to the fact your like a tin of sardines rather than the whole process of flying per se.

Neck a couple valium or get rat arsed in the departure lounge.

Or you could be sat next to some dick on a Ryanair flight who is on his mobile throughout the whole thing going 'Yea, I'm on a plane! I knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!........."

As long as they are prescription its fine. Get a letter off your doc to take with you if needs be.

Where are you flying to?
