....to ask for a bandage or a decent plaster.
They said "We cannot give plasters out as you may be allergic".
"You'll have to book an appointment if you want a bandage too, we're full today"
Got a cut on the palm of my hand btw.
I just found it a bit strange they wouldnt give plasters out....

yeh most places dont give out plasters anymore i've found, due to people being allergic to them.
saying that though most places give out the non fabric ones which most people aren't allergic to i thought.

We're not allowed to give them to people at work without confirming they're not allergic.. But not giving them out, in a hospital, is silly.

I wouldnt of thought you could just walk into a hospital and ask for a plaster? Surely just nip round to the local rag shop for a box?

Exactly what I was thinking. Why not just go to the shop?
Waste a hospital's time and resources for a plaster

A plaster on the palm of your hand would last all of 5 minutes before it fell off anyway.

Had the same thing in the school I worked at. They couldn't give out plasters in case you decide to sue them when you got a itch from it. What a lovely society we live in, vote Blue, for the love of god!

The amount of people who are prepared the sue the NHS over silly little things is ridiculous though.
