nothing wrong with a rover; independant suspension all round, 150 bhp, good figures really, what's the problem? Typical headgasket argument no doubt; buy it

i noticed the 1.4's have 105 which is pretty nippy considering a 1.4 corsa has only 89.

i do like them, and was thinking of getting one, the 1.8 version, but then found out the insurance was worth more than the car, a 3 series bmw or a mini cooper s came out cheaper, although im only 19...but go for it, they do look good

Go for the MK1 model though because the MK2 doesnt look as good and the dashboard is tacky and plasticky feel in the MK2

The one in your pics is the MK2 and the one with double round headlamps is the MK1 (better looking version imo)

MK1 version:

I have a 105 MG ZR (2005) its not bad, ride is terribly hard, interior is made of dairylee and matchsticks.

I only paid £3,400 for mine, glad i didnt pay more. I think I could live with it easier if i had the 1.8vvt, my mum has the same engine in the MGf, v nippy!

On another note though, Ive not had to spend a penny on it in the last year (inc @ MOT time)

If your going for the 1.8 vvt,go all the way and get the 160bhp model.Although they are 160bhp,the likes of a Mk3 Astra GSI Redtop will still piss on it.
