Have a shower. Then shave. Softens the hair.

I've stopped shaving for this reason; tried everything but the right side of my neck always gets bad; I always wet shaved aftera shower.

I used to get the same with electric shaver as well. Now I just use a beard trimmer on '0'

Wash, lots of hot water, moisten the skin.

Shave down, not up, this uproots the hairs and can cause infection (small spots).

Or don't wear a crash helmet. It doesn't help your neck line.

At the end of the shave, wash in HOT water to get rid of shaving foam etc. Then wash in cold water to re-close the pores. (wash with cold straight away and you trap all the gunk into your pores)

you should shave with a lotion like shaving cream etc....

splashing your face with cold water after hot isnt going to close your pores.

you should also try and exfoliate your face 3 times a week as it will get rid of the dead crap and gunk on the skin that can cause the rash to occur

You think you could shave a face without it? Its not like legs where you can fliuck the blade over women!!!

Ex-fo-li-ate? Can a metrosexual male please inform what this means?

My god, shes trying to turn a bloek post into a womens daily cleaning routine. Help???

Also, hot water = open pores, cold water = close pores.

does anybody get told to shave for work? one poor lad in our office has a real bad shaving rash all the time because they make all the blokes shave. he looks like he's in pain sometimes. i'd quit if it was me tbh. they don't have any rules about women not being fat slobs or looking like mutton dressed as lamb. thats what you get for having a woman in charge.

Quoted for truth! I used to get bad shaving rashes but i started to take time to learn the direction my hair grows, ALWAYs go with the direction, also get some good shaving gel. I use The Real Shavining Company (quite expensive) and get the Shaving Gel for Sensitive Skin, its cut my shaving rash right out pretty much

my mate uses one of them facial sauna things before he shaves. he swears by it. i would never take the advice of a lad that has membership cards for 2 different tanning places though.
