in an SL55 AMG ....
motherfuckin thing is like a train and sounds immense. Have a laugh at this though. I'm in Norway, its a 2003 model and it cost the guy 1,000,000 NOK (about £100,000).... and even worse... He bought the car for about £35,000 in Germany, and the other £65,000 went to Norway in taxes No wonder the government here are so wealthy!!
Secondly... went karting, and didnt win! Had a few big crashes though
I actually felt a bit uncomfortable in the Merc.... going at some speeds, on soaking wet roads with snow chain ruts in them.
500bhp, 700NM torque i think :O

a little....
couldnt really see the speedo, but it was above 150kmh as i could see that number but felt the back end squirming and TC coming in and out
Felt so different to the skyline.... just so linear in power delivery and smooth.

Bloke i know very well has one of those. Very nice car indeed. Agree with you about it being scarey. He bought a Softop Db9 aswell and took it back two days later as he prefered his merc
Love the wheels on them too

Sounds daft but i've driven a DB9 vol and found it uncomfortable then drove a Jag XKR and that was a loads better.

dont get me wrong... its power/speed wasnt scary... just the use of it in the weather conditions. I guess i'm used to driving in rain with cut slicks etc and was just seeing the standing water and going 'eeeek', where he prob knows the roads/tyres and hence thats why he was still mashing the accelerator round the corners that looked like rivers

Lovely car. SO much tax.
Definitely wouldn't be driving it like that unless it was at least daylight in those conditions, especially after being so comprehensively robbed by my own government.
He must be on a fortune to stomach that.
Did he buy it new Adam?

Any idea what it's based on?

its a percentage on power and weight i think....
So the more power etc the more tax.
I'll look in a few mags etc for prices but everything is very expensive

I presume the average wage must be catastrophically higher than over here then?
Probably not many people running Veyrons in Norway though.

the wages do seem a bit higher, but not to reflect the car/beer prices etc.
I'd live here.... its nice. You can see where the tax goes, compared to britain.

God yeah. Never been there, but a mate did a few years ago and he showed me photos.
Incredible looking place and he absolutely loved his stay there.
He said the cost of everything and the perfection of all the women almost drove him to distraction though.
