Super-sliced fingers

Everyone who knows me knows I have a thing for guitars and have been trying to teach myself on and off for a few years with little success so decided to get some lessons... had my first one tonight, was awesome... ended up playing the dudes tasty Gibson LP Custom

Unfortunately this was because my acoustic is bowed And I promptly smashe dit on the floor on the way out as the strap broke

Well, I was going to purchase a new guitar to cheer myself up and as a well doen present to myself for my new job but hadn't decided so I thought I'd better get another acoustic as I already have an Epiphone LP Standard... so I've gone for this

Epiphone Dove Also bought a hardshell case for my Les Paul as he wants me to use that to learn on

Nice one Borbo! I sliced my fingers to bits when I first learnt, I've been playing roughly 14years but I rarely play acoustic, I have a fender stratacaster and a couple of good bass guitars. Just recreational playing though I'm not in a band or anything.

Yeah I play all my favourite bands music and it took me a while to play a song by ear, without looking at a sheet or anything I found it really hard to learn but got there in the end.

I've been learing the bass notes to Arizona, quality song Bit tricky for untrained hands though

I've been tempted to get lessons for a while. Would you say it's worth it?
I've been playing for years but struggle with more advanced chords (I can play the basic e,a,d,c,g at the top of the neck)
How much do you pay?

LOL, I can play a bit more than that

I really want a strat though, I think if I had an acoustic I would play Spanish guitar style (my other half has an acoustic but plays bluegrass type music, as she also plays mandolin and dobro as well, and I fear she would end me if I ended her guitar)...
