my new custom made springs arrived today (letter saying they had been delieved but no on in) so went to collect them just, was well chuffed there finally here...
opened the box and...
there the shite design (loads of coils the same size) same as these (shaunmods for example, which he was un happy about and then got swapped)
i can push them together quite easy and there meant to cope with the weight of the rear of the car..
and there in bright red :S WTF! there meant to be black..
so fucking pissed off its untrue...
i know they will replace them, but there meant to be on the car etc in a week for the new westmidlands meet

Mine were liek that 2 mate.
Whats mk4_boy means is they should be the later design like so -
Id send them back mate, try them on the car first though see what the ride height is like also then you can also state you want it lower as my 90mm was more like 60mm

the 4 top/bottom coils i can push together and they touch, meaning theres no more travel in those coils so it will be soild..
ive just rang them up saying there a shite design etc and he says hes going to ring me back in 10mins..

thats whati mean, there huge!!
if all the coils was touching it would be about 90mm i reckon, but then no travel..

they wont work mate, there the same design i got the 1st time round on the yellow corsa,
he will need the above spring with 3.5 coils to it.

i know they will sort it, im just saying im pissed off as they should have made them the design ive already explained to them when i rang to order them..
ive just spoke to them and i have another spring design now in production, will be with me the same time next week..
grr another 7 days on top of the 12 ive already waited.. (thats basically why im annoyed)

Shit happens cant please every customer, its not the average spring there producing. its a custom spring, not an off the shelf spring, so there are bound to be glitches
As long as you get a right product in the end i wouldnt complain, their decent enough people to deal with.

im not saying there dodgy people or anything or shite to deal with, im just botherd that i waited 12days and now another 7...
they got fruitbooters, shauns and now mine wrong, so its not every now and then...
have to wait and see for them next week..

I appreciate their obviously having problems producing this specific spring but i should imagine its pretty hard to design a good sold comfortable spring with such small amount of coils in.
And you have to consider how much buisines passes through thier doors every day. Just bare with them, you will get a good final product,

oh yer like ive said they seem decent enough people, and they have said they are sorry and will sort it out, i havnt said anywhere they are shite people to deal with etc..
just hope there correct when the next set arrive

damn Jay sorry to hear the have are wrong That design the keep doing is very strange. Although they're very soft they are too big and the coils just end up touching.
but as said already they will change them until you are happy with them They even paid for me and john G to send ours back.

I have the design with lots of coils and its very easy to compress them by hand, to be honest the ride was rubbish with them on.

No problem with it Graham its just the way they have designed them but because the springs is so big the softness makes the coils touch so they cant settle/sit any lower which is the problem here
