Well guys as some of you may know, I run the corsa low, uber low and granted it looks kool, but there are several downsides and something which a few of you out there should take into consideration

last night driving normaly, on a road I am very used to, front left hits a pot hole, a massive cracking sound and engine cuts out, yep my cat/manifold just snapped in half. so with a bit of wire and some straps off I went on the 20mile journey home with my car sounding like a freaking spitfire at 3am

Well that is the first part, recently had the car up on the ramps and we found a few wee surprises, mainly consisting of holes in the chasis from where it had come into contact with the floor

and the best part, one is big enough to put your hand through and touch the underside of the drivers seat

I shall get pictures tomorrow of the holes to amaze you all, so lets see what carnage you low guys can do !

Air ride for homo's!!

Wooop wooop

I will hopefully get it welded back on next week so I can trundle about in it untill I get my new car

to get under the car I first used a scissor jack and wound it up enough to get the trolley jack under it and then bodged it up.

As for getting beached, never been beached properly, I found that if you just block out the scraping noises you only feel it so it isn't too bad

I can get over pretty much all speed bumps but the ones at college are a bitch had it scrape a couple of times on them. Think its the backbox hitting the floor as it comes off the speedbump

100mm FTL maybe?

Hopefully I will tack weld the cat back on and then cover it in crap to stop it blowing to much.

It was even spitting flames out underneath the car and making some ridiculously loud pops and bangs on motorway, was too kool !

Was too kool really

I can't get over the fact that you hit a pot hole on a road that you 'are very used to'

Nice work though
