Pulled me last night....
Him " Alright lad, do you know you have a numberplate light out?"
Me " I do now.... Do you know you have a headlight out?"
Him "errrr yeahhhh, jump in my car mate"
Fucking 15 mins of filling one stop form in, and his reason for pulling me was because I had my front fogs on, which I didnt
OH! and! whilst he was putting my details into his computer thing to check my insurance it came up
Insured Drivers: Mrs J. Kelly
to which he replyed, ahhhh Mr Kelly your driving without insurance, I was just going to go home and now I have 3hrs of paperwork to fill in
but I noticed on his screen he had like a little button displaying "Named Drivers" so I said woahhh hold on what happens if you press that?
He pressed it:
Named Drivers: Mr M Kelly

50% of coppers are spot on, even when giving you a fine, could have a semi decent crack / joke with them.
other 50% are up their own arse and think they are better than you, with no sense of humour.
I found out the hard way, tried cracking a joke to one that didn't have any sense of humour ended up costing me £135

were not all hypocrites or arses, however, sometimes the way people speak to us means they get dealt with accordingly.
Could have legitimately given you a VDRS ticket which means get fault fixed and get ticket stamped at MOT station at your expense, and if you drive it again before getting fixed and get stopped get 3pts and £60 fine.
The fact his headlight was out may be hypocritical, but he cant just pop and get a new bulb. mechanic has to do it for insurance , which is a pain!

I was told this after i had my accident in the corsa. The bloke at the recovery yard said in some cases the insurers wont pay out, and you could get done for deception or something like that

Yeah, if you're a named driver on insurance but the car is in your name, they will find out and will kick up a fuss.

I always have fun with coppers that pull me. Half of the time the forget what they stop me for.... but they always remember
They always ask what happened to the inside of my car. Depending on how i think they'll react, i'll either tel them it's going to be a track car and will be off the road by the end of the month or that i have no friend so i don't need seats.
Oh and if you have to wright something in the back of their car.... steal their pen lid When they ask for it back, refuse! I told one that i wanted it for a keep sake as it was the 1st (cough 100th) time that i'd been pulled
If your right with them, 9 time out of 10 they'll be right with you. Even the cocky ones, when you don't rise to them, will end up being alright.

He's insured against third party risks, which is his obligation. If you meant the fronting, the policy is active until the insurer pulls it on investigation.
