Mum has suggested getting me a private plate for my 21st. Its the new F reg plate thingy thats coming out in October so she thought she would get me it seeing as my bday is in Feb.
Do you think its a good 21st bday present? Something i could keep forever.
Plate would be F15 TOM which is £1300 or something or F15 TDL which is £300 or something.
Any thoughts appreciated

ask for something decent like hold the money until you book your next holiday, or sell your car and with the £1k~ get a better car that doesnt have 5 doors? If they are willing to go up to a grand then theres so much more fun to be had, be it clothes, shoes, manbags, stripclub, booze, amazing holiday, alloy wheels for your car (finally ) or just something COOL!

Get one with '21' in the plate, that way when your old and own a pipe, slippers and a nissan micra you can tell your grandkids that's from when we used to have private plates and cars and not these fandago hover bikes the kids are using these days.

Unless what ever car it is on is written off
Also if a plate is on a car that is off the road, you have to MOT and TAX the car before the plate can be removed.

A number plate?
I mean I have a private plate but it was £250 which I was happy to part with! Let her keep the money for abit and decide on something cool, your mum needs to understand that at 21 pissing money up the wall is what we do best.
