think it depends if you tint the front windows to dark as then they cant see you and you could have a gun etc

Although bare in mind some Corsa's were speced with slightly tinted windows, therefore the additions, even though would be legal on clear glass, might not be on Corsa's

iirc there was a thread the other week that said Corsa front windows are already tinted to the legal limit so any tints on the front would make it illegal, which could attract points

can have as dark as you want on the rear 3 and the front two are allowed to have 25% tint max. you cannot tint the front windscreen for obvious reasons

ok this is how it goes, its on front tints, if there isnt enough light that can go through them then there too dark, if the windows have been done by a film, then a large area needs to pealed off, so that the police know something will have to be done, also the vehicle will have to be recovered to a garage..if not you take the points and fine

ive had tints, but they were done about 5 years ago before the legislation came in, been driving all this time without having any trouble, but tonight a couple of them thought it would be fun to pull me over cos i supposedly went round a corner too quickly

asked if i had been drinking cos my eyes were funny? just cos im chinese...lol
then said alchoholic drink? i was thinking i know what you mean, im not as stupid as the stupid pig asking me..... and didnt even proceed to give me a breath test?

whats the point in asking if you aint going to action....

after that he checked all tyres and usual details and stuff then said i have tints, he went to get the meter out, but he didnt bring it, said i should get them checked out....sigh..i asked him whats the penalty, he said 3 points per window?? i was like wtf, most people have warnings....

car in question is

you can see the tints are fairly dark, but not as dark as ive come across

Be lucky that he didn't act!

If the car is defective he can issue the penalty.

Back is fine although you may be better actually hiding the speakers under carpet or something.

Yes but it's difficult to apply and usually ends up looking terrible.

Then get 3 points every time they stop you for failing to adhere to their instruction?

Got stopped in on manchester ring road in my old 2.0. Managed to keep them on there for a year. but the copper measured them and said they were illegal, and he gave me a vehicle prohibition order and a fine making my car illegal to drive until rectified. He was a sound guy though and gave me a day before it came into effect as i was up there for the weekend. He never mentioned anything about points though
