reason i ask is my missus failed her test yesterday and she said that she only got 6minors and no majors marked down yet they failed her.

do test instructors have a choice to pass or fail you regardless of your minors?

she has been told by her actual driving instructor that it is pointless to contest it cause of the bloke who was the tester.
(obviously i wasnt there so only saying what i have been told lol)

just found it weird that she failed on only 6 minors.

must have got a major or did she get told at any point that the test had stopped due to something bad done e.g. running a red light.

god knows i was only told what id wrote above.

tbf imagine there must have been something missing from what i was told as i cant imagine them failing someone with 6minors.

3 minors on the same error (speeding for example) = 1 major

did she get anything on the paper saying 3 in the mark box?

if you do anything wrong more then 2 times in the same section it will be classed as serious but not marked down

she must of had a major. If you run a red or hit a car, they will still mark the ticket

yeah thats a good point, they will mention on your test without stating the obvious that your doing wrong...i.e if your speeding they will say "whats the speed limit on this road" if you correct your mistake you dont get a mark

They are bringing some 'eco friendly' test in soon, they mark you on how efficiantly you go down gears etc to save on pollution, things like that.
