...........but it didnt really go to plan!!

The sun was out so decided to spend a day treating my new sport hatch, but just as I had snow foamed the car, the heavens opened. O well, got some pics of what I did so here goes.

Having seen pics on www.astraownersnetwork.co.uk, decided I wanted to debadge the "griffin" and the "1.9" badge off the rear of the car

Before

During

After

Then on with the cleaning. Even though the car was only collected last week, it was very dirty due to all the poor weatehr this week

So took the plates off, sprayed bottom half of car in diluted APC, then snowfoamed via my superspray

And then the heavens openedSo washed the car off quickly and dashed inside. Decided to call it a day as rain didnt look like it would stop. Rain eventually stopped so nipped out for a few afters, not the best but they will do for now

Looking forward to eventually detailing it

probably cant comment on performance, as fastest car ive owned before this was 115bhp mini cooper petrol.

However, love the power and torque, loads of pull through all gears

Easily reachable 200bhp with DTUK tuning box

username electric_cooper mate

yes, dont have the money for a karcher or a foam lance at the minute, so this is a stop gap solution. superspray bottle (£10) with snow foam solution and on end of garden hose

does the job for now

Most of this detailing lark is a waste of time but clay bars do have their place, something i'd have never known about if it wasn't for the bald saddos spending months in their garages.

If the car hasn't always been polished and waxed they do wonders.

Tried it on my fabia and thought it was a total waste of time but found out that was because i'd always taken care of it.

Don't think the previous owner of the clio had ever polished it, clay bar done wonders.
