I had something similar happen a few weeks prior if anyone remembers, wasn't as popular as Gian's though, I had a picture of two of my sisters in my avatar with the sig "One is the result of an affair, can you guess which?".
But this guy didn't read the sig and continued to u2u me basically chatting me up and telling me how nice I was, he was from Australia and was called Nick.
