right need to right a report about my latest engine failure but dont know how to put it
i was told my big end shells were about to go then 50miles later they went putting 3 holes in my block
can someone please describe to me what exactly has happened?

well i dont know
i snapped my crank
he got another engine and "rebuilt it"
was going through about 2 litres of oil a week
he got another engine and "rebuilt" it
could hear it knock after 200 miles
took it back he said it was fine
1000 miles later !!*%$^&$£BOOOOOOM*&**!+)$$!" 3 holes in block and a smashed head

the half circle metal shells (bearing for the bottom end of the con rods / or "big end") have died. This means the connecting rod wouldn't move freely on the crank shaft.

oil was checked 3 times a week never went below half way.
wear and tear as in old age maybe?

oil not changed for a while and doesn't lubricate like it should. Happens to engines that havn't been loved

well a rebuild would mean new oil. oil change at 500 and oil change at 1k

when it was rebuilt did they match up the bottom halves of the con rods to the correct top half? Thats a fatal mistake that could cause early engine death, but nobody rebuilding an engine would be that daft.

If the engine was re-built then this should have never happened. End of.
The big ends will only seize due to oil starvation (crap in the oil blocking the galleries). Or the wrong size bearing shells used.
Both could be plausible as the guy who has built your engines sounds like he doesn't have a clue judging the track record.
Time to get your money back, or take him to court.

this guy is a complete dick and wanted to fix my leaky rocker cover with some sealant

the case will be moved to court but he has already been declared bankrupt so i doubt anything will come of it
